Nutrition For Bones And Overall Health

A root of dioscorea rotundata yam is resting on a concrete pavement with the head sliced off showing the pale yellow cross section.
For most people figuring out what foods contain what nutrients is difficult, and that is understandable. There is a very wide variety of natural foods with even wider spectrum of nutrients. Therefore it is easier to group or categorize your foods. There are a few foods that are known for high value of specific bio-available nutrients. Try to learn these. Knowing these foods is the only way you can eat efficiently to maximize your nutrition. When you maximize your nutrition your body structure remain in tact for longer. What does it mean to eat efficient and how? The answer is in the book, Caring Your Bones Today for the Future. This books shows the amount of each bone specific nutrients you need, the amount you get from each food and the combination that maximizes absorption to carry out the function for bone mineralization.

Efficient absorption and utilization of relevant bone-health nutrients is essential. Young people need to build bone density that will serve to keep stronger bones in older years when deterioration is more rapid than remineralization. Those paying attention to strong bones during youth will enjoy stronger bone for most or all their senior years. Older people whose bones do deteriorate more rapidly than are re-mineralized will need to pay close attention to nutrition that fosters efficient remineralization. This will reduce the painful experiences of symptoms associated with advanced skeletal deterioration, and reduces bone fracture risk.

For those currently having ailments associated with the skeletal system - bones and joints; chronic muscular pain, especially of the thigh muscles and shoulder and back pain, pay special attention to maintaining a balance diet as I have described and the detailed information in the book "Caring Your Bones Today for the Future". Since foods (because of its bulk) do basically provide minimum daily nutrition, to take care of already developed deficiencies (except for injury being the main cause of ailments), supplements are important. Supplements, will fill the current nutritional gaps and make up for some of the pass shortfalls if you understand how to take them. Once you understand how to choose supplements, how to take them, and that recovering is a process of dedication that takes time, you will see results and will be glad you made the switch to a balanced diet, and supplementation. But just in case you are not convinced about why supplements, continue reading the next page.
